Word Analysis

B. Word building - ment - is a suffix when this suffix is added to a verb will then be called a noun.

E.G. employ (verb) A verb ** is a doing - working word. - Employment (noun) A noun ** is a name word. - Employed. / unemployed (adjective) an adjective ** is a descriptive word-explains to you.

The past participle of a verb can function (work) as an adjective. E.G. a person who has a job is an employed person.

The prefix (goes before) reverses (changes backward) the meaning E.G. unemployed this means has no job.

Thank you,
